Hot August Blues Named “Top Ten” Summer Event By Kentucky Tourism Council


 

HARDIN, Ky. – Kenlake State Resort Park’s “Hot August Blues” has been named as one of the state’s “Top Ten” summer events by the Kentucky Tourism Council.

The 18th annual Hot August Blues will be August 24-25. This two-day festival will be held at Kenlake’s amphitheatre, where audiences will be mellowed by some of the best blues bands around. Artist including the Reba Russell Band, Clarence Dobbins, and crowd favorite, Lew Jetton & 61 South, will create an unforgettable weekend.

A panel of impartial judges selects the “Top Ten” events each season. The criteria for selection include the popularity of the event, its impact on the local tourism economy as well as cultural and historical significance.

The festival will be held rain or shine and audience members can watch from land or from the beautiful shores of Kentucky Lake. Blues artwork created by artists from around the world will be posted throughout the festival area.

Ticket prices are as follows: $10.00 for Friday and $15.00 for Saturday. $22.00 for admission on combo tickets for both nights and kids tickets 5-12 years of age are $7.00. Children under 5 are admitted free
